The neuroscience supporting binaural beats is real but limited. Most peer-reviewed studies show modest effects on relaxation and focus — not the full-on perceptual rewiring that some producers are claiming. The gap between "this affects brainwave states" and "this will make you see colors" is still a significant one, and not everyone in the scientific community is ready to bridge it.

If these producers are right — even partially right — then music isn't just entertainment anymore. It's a tool. A technology for temporarily reorganizing how reality lands on your nervous system.
That's either the most exciting thing happening in American music right now, or it's a very compelling reason to be skeptical of anyone who sells you a ticket with the words "sensory expansion" in the description.
